Study Guide and the Transcript Online

Minneapolis: When we taped this show back in 1996, Jake Miles was making toys that looked like the children who play with them. Simply, his goal was to build the self-esteem of children and teach nonviolence. As this program opens, it is Martin Luther King Day and Jake is the guest of honor. In this show, he receives the Humanitarian Award from the Community College System of Minneapolis.

We have been unable to re-connect with Cultural Toys or Jake Miles. This story is so poignant in so many ways we leave it up in hopes that someone can tell us the rest of the story.

Letters, e-mail and calls are all welcomed.
